Boeing delivered 348 airplanes in 2024, less than half of rival Airbus's deliveries.
* Boeing delivered 348 airplanes in 2024, down from 492 a year earlier due to production issues caused by a midair door panel blowout and machinist strike.
* This is about a third fewer than the company's usual deliveries and widens the gap with rival Airbus, which delivered 766 jetliners last year.
* Boeing restarted production of its bestselling 737 Max planes in December after an eight-week pause due to the machinist strike.
* The aerospace giant logged 142 gross orders in December for new planes, including 100 737 Maxes for Turkey's Pegasus Airlines and 30 787s for flydubai.
* Boeing's gross orders for the year stood at 569, while net orders were 377 airplanes.
* Airbus, on the other hand, reported 878 gross orders last year and 826 net orders.
