JPMorgan Chase exec Daniel Pinto, longtime No. 2 to Jamie Dimon, will step down in June

Pinto has worked at JPMorgan and a predecessor firm for more than four decades.

* JPMorgan Chase's Chief Operating Officer (COO) and President, Daniel Pinto, will step down in June and retire at the end of 2026.
* Jennifer Piepszak, co-head of the commercial and investment bank, will take over as COO, but has stated that she does not want to be considered for CEO position.
* This leaves Marianne Lake, head of consumer banking, and Troy Rohrbaugh, co-head of Commercial & Investment Bank, as likely contenders to succeed Jamie Dimon as CEO.
* Dimon praised Pinto for his 40-year career at JPMorgan and its predecessor firms, and thanked him for his leadership and partnership.
