Procter & Gamble earnings beat estimates as shoppers buy more household staples

Procter & Gamble beat quarterly earnings and revenue estimates and also reiterated its fiscal 2025 forecast.

* Net income: $4.63 billion, up from $3.47 billion a year earlier
* Net sales: $21.88 billion, 2% increase
* Organic revenue (excluding currency changes and divestments): 3% increase
* Volume growth: 1%
* US consumer demand is "volatile" due to stockpiling before the port strike in October
* Europe's consumer demand is generally stable
* Baby, feminine and family care division saw a 4% volume increase
* Grooming segment saw a 2% volume increase due to innovation
* Fabric and home care division reported a 1% volume increase
* Healthcare segment reported flat volume
* Beauty division reported a 1% decline in volume.
