Sun, 09 Feb 2025 PlayStation Network back online, firm says

PlayStation says the service has now "fully recovered" and apologised for the disruption.
The PlayStation Network has been fully restored after a multi-hour outage that started on Friday evening. The service was unavailable to millions of gamers worldwide, causing issues with online games such as Fortnite and Call of Duty, as well as offline single-player games. According to DownDetector, the problem began around midnight on Friday night. Sony apologized for the disruption and thanked users for their patience. As a gesture of goodwill, all PlayStation Plus members will receive an additional 5 days of service. The outage was particularly frustrating for gamers who were looking forward to playing new releases such as Monster Hunter Wilds and Call of Duty Black Ops 6.
