The chief executive of the UK's largest airport will unveil plans to develop terminals two and five.
* Heathrow Airport will unveil a multi-billion pound investment plan to expand two terminals (2 and 5) on Wednesday.
* The plans include increasing capacity, reconfiguring the airfield, and improving bus connections, all funded by private cash.
* The expansion is part of efforts to grow the UK economy, with Chancellor Rachel Reeves backing a third runway at Heathrow last month.
* As part of the plan, Heathrow has committed to using domestically-made steel for new infrastructure, including from British Steel's Scunthorpe plant.
* The airport's chief executive, Thomas Woldbye, will outline the expansion plans on Wednesday, ahead of proposals for a third runway being submitted to the government this summer.
* The construction of terminal 5 required around 80,000 tonnes of steel, and the new expansion plan aims to upgrade existing infrastructure while laying the groundwork for a third runway.
* The Chancellor has said that expansion at Heathrow is "badly needed" and could create 100,000 jobs.
* However, the plans are highly controversial and face opposition from environmental groups and local residents.
