Thu, 13 Feb 2025 Questions raised over Rachel Reeves's CV and expenses

The BBC has established the Chancellor left the Bank of England nine months earlier than she states in her LinkedIn profile.
- An investigation found that a whistleblower's complaint was substantiated, with Reeves and two colleagues breaking rules. - The final outcome of the investigation is unknown. - Reeves' CV exaggerated her time at the Bank of England, claiming 10 years when she actually left nine months early. - Her LinkedIn profile incorrectly stated she worked there until December 2006, but records show she left in March 2006. - The Chancellor's team said it was an administrative error and that she had not seen the updated CV before it was published. - Reeves also claimed to have spent up to a decade working at HBOS, when she actually left five months early. - Her team acknowledged the mistake, stating it was due to her leaving voluntarily for redundancy in mid-May 2009.
