Thu, 27 Mar 2025 Sky says 2,000 jobs at risk at customer service sites

The planned cuts represent 7% of Sky's total workforce and would mean the closure of three sites.

* Stockport, Sheffield and Leeds Central call centres will be closed
* Operations at Dunfermline and Newcastle sites will also be affected
* Company expects a third of its 25 million annual calls to decrease in the next few years
* Sky investing £multi-millions in Livingston site to upgrade digital technology for customer service
* Aim is to deliver "quicker, simpler and more digital" customer service, available 24 hours a day
