A 10% rate of import tax will apply globally - with higher rates for a list of Trump's "worst offenders".
* Baseline tariff of 10% applies to all imports from countries not listed
* Goes into effect on April 5
* Companies bringing foreign goods into US pay tax, which may affect consumers
* Some countries only face baseline rate:
* EU (includes specific reciprocal tariffs for "worst offenders")
* Japan
* China
* South Korea
Customized Tariffs:
* Applied to approximately 60 of the "worst offenders"
* Will go into effect on April 9
* Specific countries subject to these rates include:
* EU (specifically targeting Germany, France, Italy, and UK)
* India
* Turkey
US-Mexico/Canada:
* Baseline tariff of 10% does not apply
* Existing tariffs of 25% on goods entering from Mexico and Canada remain in place
