India also faces a 26% tariff rate if it fails to agree on a trade deal with the US. The Trump administration has imposed hefty tariffs on Chinese imports since January, while other countries have been hit with levies on their goods. The total tariff on some Chinese goods could reach 245%. China is urging countries to stand up for fairness and defend international economic rules, rather than being swayed by US pressure.
