Mon, 12 May 2025 Charity couple move apart to care for animals

Roy and Annie Marriott say Animals in Need's expansion has forced the move.

* A married couple who run an animal sanctuary, Animals in Need, are living separately due to its expansion.
* The charity has acquired 23 acres of land and moved animals there from their previous site.
* Founder Roy Marriott remains at Pine Tree Farm while his wife Annie looks after the animals at the new premises.
* The couple attribute the success of the sanctuary to volunteer work and a supporter who donated the use of the additional land.
* They believe the charity has outgrown its original site, with 1,000 animals currently being cared for.
