The couriers hope to expand their business by combining their "complimentary" services.
Evri and DHL's UK parcel delivery business will merge, creating a combined courier firm handling over 1 billion parcels and letters per year. The merged company will offer "greater choice" and "cost-competitive solutions" in the UK, with Evri focusing on lower-value goods and DHL on faster, secure deliveries of high-value items. The deal also expands Evri's international delivery capacity through access to DHL's global network. As part of the merger, DHL's e-commerce business will be renamed "Evri Premium – a network of DHL eCommerce". The combined operation will have access to 15,000 out-of-home delivery points in shops and lockers.
