Wed, 14 May 2025 Trump touts 'record' Boeing-Qatar Airways deal

The commitment from the state-owned airline comes as Boeing pushes to rebuild its business.

* Qatar Airways has agreed to buy up to 210 jets from Boeing in a $96bn deal.
* The order includes 130 Dreamliners, 30 777-9s and an option for 50 other planes.
* This is the largest-ever order of 787 Dreamliners and will support 154,000 jobs in the US each year of production.
* The deal marks a win for Boeing as it tries to rebuild its business after several setbacks, including manufacturing and safety issues.
* Shares in Boeing have climbed around 20% since January due to increased optimism about the company's prospects.
* The agreement will deepen the longstanding relationship between Qatar Airways and Boeing, which already had 150 Boeing airplanes in its fleet and more than 130 jets on order.
