A survey by the Felix Project finds food banks expect to see more demand over the next year.
* 21% of London food banks expect demand to double or more in the coming year.
* Almost 85% of providers have seen an increase in demand since last year, with almost half reporting a growing number of first-time users.
* The cost-of-living crisis is having a "devastating effect" on people's lives, according to Charlotte Hill, chief executive of the Felix Project.
* Nearly 40% of services supported by the Felix Project are worried they won't be able to keep up with growing demand.
* 87% of organisations provide more than just food, including debt advice, mental health support and activities such as yoga and football.
* Food bank providers are seeing new people coming in every week, due to the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.
* Demand for food banks is expected to continue rising, with the Felix Project warning that it will be challenging for many organisations to keep up.
