Mon, 02 Jun 2025 Jonathan Anderson makes history as Dior's new creative director

Designer Jonathan Anderson is the first person to head both the men's and women's collections at the French fashion house.
Fashion designer Jonathan Anderson, born in Northern Ireland, will take on the roles of creative director at both Dior's women's and men's collections. The 40-year-old was appointed artistic director of Dior's menswear collection in April after previously working as creative director at Loewe for over a decade. He becomes the first designer to lead both lines at the luxury French fashion house. Anderson expressed his "great honour" at taking on the role, citing the House's rich history and empathy as sources of inspiration. He will debut his first collection for Dior Men Summer 2026 during Paris Fashion Week in June. Bernard Arnault, chair of Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVHM) and Dior's parent company, called Anderson "one of the greatest creative talents of his generation". Delphine Arnault, Dior's chairperson, praised Anderson's creativity and vision, saying she is confident he will bring a modern and inspired approach to the House. Known for his innovative styles and gender-fluid designs, Anderson has created iconic looks throughout his career, including Rihanna's Super Bowl half-time performance outfit and Ariana Grande's 2024 Met Gala gown.
