The Market Rasen Baby Bank says the number of users has risen by 300% in the past six months.
Baby banks across the UK have seen a significant surge in demand for their services, providing essential items such as nappies, cots and clothes to families in need.
* The number of users at one baby bank in Lincolnshire rose from 19 to 76 in just six months
* A national survey found that 220,000 families were supported by baby banks in 2024, up from 163,000 the previous year
* Over 3.5 million items were distributed last year, a 143% increase on the previous year
* Healthcare professionals are referring more families to baby banks, with some seeing a doubling of referrals and requests for larger items such as cots and travel systems
* Baby banks are now appealing for donations, including unused and unwanted prams, to meet the growing demand.
