The rain and high winds experienced during stormy weather can damage homes and cause power outages.

* Heavy rain, hail, lightning, and gusty winds expected in some areas
* Flash flooding possible with 30-50 mm of rain in certain regions
* Storm damage may occur due to strong winds
* Public transport disruptions likely
* Residents advised to: + Move valuable items upstairs or store them high on the ground floor in flood-risk areas + Stay inside and keep internal doors closed + Unplug non-essential electrical items + Avoid walking next to buildings, trees, and sheltered walls or fences + Bring animals inside and ensure they have food, bedding, and fresh water
* If trapped by floodwater: + Go to the highest level of the building + Do not go into attic spaces due to risk of being trapped + Call 999 for assistance
* Report power cuts online or by calling 105 (free service in England, Scotland, and Wales)
* Avoid driving unless necessary, especially on flooded or exposed routes
* Drive slowly and be cautious when overtaking or around high-sided vehicles
