The president wins over sparring factions within his own party to get the bill passed after months of wrangling.
* The US Congress has passed a tax and spending bill backed by President Donald Trump.
* The bill was approved in the House of Representatives 218-214 on Thursday, after being approved in the Senate 51-49 on Tuesday.
* The Congressional Budget Office estimates the bill will add $3.3 trillion to federal deficits over the next 10 years and leave millions without health coverage.
* Trump says the bill will "turn this country into a rocket ship" and is expected to sign it into law on July 4th.
* Republicans who initially opposed the bill, including Representative Chip Roy of Texas, eventually supported it after concessions were made.
* The bill makes savings through cuts to food benefits and health care, as well as rolling back tax breaks for clean energy projects.
* Democrats have criticized the bill, saying it takes healthcare and food subsidies away from millions of Americans while giving tax cuts to the rich.
* The final vote on the bill was delayed by a lengthy speech delivered by Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.
