Thu, 03 Jul 2025 Ryanair increases size limits for free cabin bags

The increase comes as the EU mandates a universal minimum size for free underseat bags.

* Ryanair's new free "personal bag" size will be up to 40cm x 30cm x 20cm, a 20% increase in volume from the current maximum dimensions.
* The bag must weigh less than 10kg and fit under the seat in front of you.
* This is larger than the EU minimum standard for free bags (40cm x 30cm x 15cm) but smaller than Easyjet's allowance (45cm x 36cm x 20cm).
* Ryanair's new size will come into effect soon, and passengers are advised to check with their airline directly about baggage rules.
