Towcester Community Larder is handing out the Silverstone provisions at a pop-up event.
* Over 12 tonnes of leftover food from the British Grand Prix has been rescued and will be given out to local people.
* The food was collected by a team of volunteers from Silverstone Circuit and will be distributed at an event on Islington Road, Towcester.
* The event is free and open to everyone, but priority will be given to those in hardship, schools, and council and social housing networks.
* Last year's event saw around 500 people take advantage of the food, with items including fruit, vegetables, pastries, and cold meats.
* The scale of the operation has increased significantly over the years, with a bigger team collecting more food to reduce waste.
* Queues are expected at the event, but updates will be shared on Towcester Community Larder's Facebook page.
