The star illegally advertised prescription-only weight loss drugs, the advertising watchdog found.
Gemma Collins' Instagram post promoting weight-loss app and medication has been banned by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). The TV personality had posted that she lost two sizes thanks to Yazen's weight loss service, which offers prescription medications combined with lifestyle coaching. However, it is against ASA rules to advertise prescription-only weight loss drugs directly to the public. Collins accepted her post promoted the Yazen service and agreed to follow guidance in future. Nine adverts, including hers, were banned in a crackdown by the ASA for promoting prescription-only weight loss medications.
