Wed, 16 Jul 2025 Busiest UK airports raise kiss-and-fly fees, says RAC

Britain's airports are charging up to £7 to briefly drop-off passengers close to terminals.

* 11 out of 20 UK airports have raised "kiss-and-fly" fees since last July.
* The following airports now charge the top rate of £7 to park for a matter of minutes: + Gatwick + Bristol + Leeds Bradford + Southampton + Stansted
* Nine of the 10 busiest airports in the European Union have no drop-off fees.
* London Heathrow, Edinburgh, Birmingham, and Liverpool have increased their prices by £1 to £6 for between 10 and 20 minutes.
* Cardiff airport has introduced a fee for the first time, charging £3 for 10 minutes.
* London Luton and Manchester airports are the most expensive on a cost-per-minute basis, with drivers paying £5 to stop for five minutes.
