A Kent woman's case is the first conviction linked to the Post Office Capture system to be referred.
* Patricia Owen's case, where she was found guilty of 5 counts of theft in June 1998, has been referred to the Court of Appeal due to an abuse of process.
* The Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC) is sending more than 70 cases associated with the Post Office Horizon scandal to the appeal courts.
* An independent report into Capture software was commissioned last year after subpostmasters reported similar problems to those faced by Horizon victims.
* A new redress scheme for postmasters affected by Capture software is being created, and the Department for Business and Trade will work closely with the CCRC to support this.
