* Sylvanian Families, a Japanese toy company, has filed a copyright infringement case against TikTok creator Thea Von Engelbrechten
* Von Engelbrechten's account, @SylvanianDrama, features comedic videos of the toys in adult storylines with dark themes such as drink, drugs, and violence
* Epoch Company Ltd claims that the videos are causing "irreparable injury" to its reputation and is seeking damages
* Von Engelbrechten has filed a counternotice claiming her works are parody and has gained 2.5 million followers on TikTok with 68 million likes on her videos
* The account also has partnerships with major brands such as Marc Jacobs, Burberry, and Netflix for advertising posts
* Court documents accuse Von Engelbrechten of infringing Epoch's copyright without permission and causing irreparable injury to its goodwill and reputation
* A pre-trial conference is scheduled for August 14 to explore settlement options or prepare the case for trial
