The Retail Prices Index for June says leisure goods and services made the largest contribution.
Inflation rates in Jersey have risen by 0.3% over the past three months, with a current annual figure of 2.6%. This increase is largely due to rising costs in leisure goods and services, including sports and off-island holidays. Despite this, housing, petrol and diesel prices have decreased, contributing to a net increase in inflation rates. The annual rate has risen from 2.3% in the previous quarter but remains lower than the historic high of 12.7% recorded in early 2023.
