Wed, 06 Aug 2025 Charity and M&S work to cut school uniform costs

Parents can donate uniforms to Autism Jersey to get discounts on new school clothes.

* A charity and retailer are working together to help reduce school uniform costs in Jersey.
* Autism Jersey's boutique shop offers a 10% voucher for new uniforms at Marks & Spencer (M&S) when parents donate used uniforms.
* The offer is aimed at helping families who struggle with the cost of living, with some parents having to choose between feeding their children or buying school uniform.
* Jersey has stricter school uniform policies than the UK, requiring up to five compulsory items for public and non-fee-paying schools.
* The charity hopes other retailers will collaborate in a similar initiative.
* The current offer lasts until 27 September.
