On Monday, President Trump signed an executive order to continue the tariffs pause for another 90 days.
The US and China have agreed to extend their trade truce until November 10, suspending triple-digit tariffs on each other's goods.
* The 145% tariff on Chinese goods imposed by the US will be delayed for another 90 days.
* Beijing has paused its 125% duties on US shipments.
* Under the agreement, the US will maintain a 30% tariff on Chinese imports while China will keep a 10% tariff on American goods.
The extension aims to give both sides more time for negotiations on trade imbalances and unfair practices. Talks will also focus on increasing access for US exporters to China and addressing national security and economic issues.
A joint statement by Beijing and Washington calls for "win-win cooperation" between the two nations, and warns that suppression or containment will not lead to a resolution.
The agreement comes after talks in May left Chinese goods facing an additional 30% tariff on entry into the US, while US goods faced a new 10% tariff in China.
