Wed, 20 Aug 2025 Walmart recalls shrimp possibly exposed to radioactive material

Consumers in 13 states are being advised to throw away shrimp with the label Great Value.

* The contaminated shrimp was sold under Walmart's Great Value label and may have been exposed to Cesium-137 while being shipped.
* A sample of breaded shrimp tested positive for the substance, but it is unclear if any of these contaminated products made it into stores.
* Consumers in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas and West Virginia are advised to check their recent purchases.
* Those who bought affected products can return them for a full refund at any Walmart location.
