Delta and United are being sued over allegedly charging extra for seats next to a blank walls.
* Delta Air Lines and United Airlines have been sued by passengers who paid extra for window seats, only to find themselves sitting next to a blank wall.
* The lawsuits claim that the airlines do not flag non-window seats during the booking process, even when charging a premium for them.
* The complaints allege that some Boeing and Airbus planes have seats without windows due to air conditioning ducts, wiring or other components.
* Passengers may be charged more to select a window seat compared to a standard seat, but would not have chosen those seats if they had known they did not have windows.
* Lawyers representing the cases describe the practice as "deceptive" and "unlawful".
* Other carriers, such as American Airlines and Alaska Airlines, disclose during the booking process if a seat does not include a window.
