Fri, 22 Aug 2025 'Significant disruption' as CrossCountry trains cut

RMT members will walk out on Saturday and Monday, but Sunday trains could also be cancelled.

* CrossCountry runs reduced timetable over bank holiday, with no services on Saturday due to RMT strike
* Sunday trains may be cancelled and Monday service will be very limited
* No CrossCountry trains between Birmingham, Reading and south coast or Leicester, Cambridge and Stansted Airport on Monday
* Limited service to South West and north of York on Monday
* Planned engineering work in West Midlands will also affect services
* Journeys that do run may take longer due to engineering work
* Passengers advised not to travel on Saturday and to check before travelling on Monday
* Company urges passengers to claim full refund if unable to travel
