The border for such goods will not be dismantled until 2027, the UK government is expected to confirm.
* The Irish Sea border for food and agricultural products will not be dismantled until 2027.
* The UK government has confirmed that post-Brexit checks and controls on products moving from Great Britain to Northern Ireland will remain in place until then.
* The outline deal agreed between the UK and EU in May this year aims to align GB with EU rules on agri-food, allowing food shipped from GB to NI to avoid paperwork and checks.
* The deal also covers trade in horticultural products like seeds and garden plants.
* NI Chamber chief executive Suzanne Wylie welcomed the proposed deal but urged the government to "move quickly" to implement it.
* The current trading arrangement, which has been in place since 2021, will continue until at least 2027.
