A survey this summer found families were going without heating or food to pay for uniform.

* Parentkind reported that: + 30% of parents go without food or heating to afford school uniforms + 45% rely on credit cards
* Telford Crisis Support's scheme has seen a growth in demand, receiving: + 125 requests in its first year (2019) + 320 requests in August alone this year
* Uniforms Together in Shifnal has collected and sold: + 236 items at its first sale in April + 370 items at its summer sale
* Wolverhampton City Credit Union's scheme has supported: + 340 children last year + Anticipated to be even busier this year, with over £75 matched pound-for-pound into child savings accounts.
