Newsmax accuses its more established rival of engaging in a campaign to stunt its business that violates competition law.
Newsmax, a US right-wing media network, has filed an antitrust lawsuit against Fox News in a Florida federal court. Newsmax claims that Fox News is using its market power to suppress competition and restrict TV providers from carrying other right-leaning channels. The lawsuit alleges that Fox News uses exclusive content deals, financial penalties, and intimidation tactics to maintain its dominance in the market. Newsmax accuses Fox of pressuring guests not to appear on rival networks and hiring private investigators to target their executives. Newsmax is seeking a court order declaring Fox's conduct unlawful, blocking exclusionary contracts, and awarding monetary damages.
