The Utility Regulator has previously urged more customers to shop around for the best deal.
* Almost half (49%) of household electricity customers in Northern Ireland have never switched from Power NI.
* Only 28% of customers have switched suppliers in the last three years.
* The Utility Regulator has reported a drop in the number of people switching suppliers across both electricity and gas, down to 93,000 households in 2024 (from 103,000 the previous year).
* Prices for Power NI have gone up by 4% as announced last week.
* Customers could save between £300-£400 per year by switching to a cheaper deal.
* The number of complaints made by electricity customers remained the same at over 30,000, while gas customer complaints rose due to issues with bills, payments, and customer service.
