The social media ads were withdrawn after complaints over the way they presented their alcoholic drinks were upheld.
Advertising Watchdog Ruling Against Strongbow and Jägermeister Ads
* Two Jägermeister ads were banned for implying that alcohol was essential to a successful social event.
* A Strongbow ad was also banned for suggesting that drinking is more important than personal relationships or significant life events.
* Both brands have accepted the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) judgments and withdrawn their respective ads.
* The ASA found that one Jägermeister ad contributed to the impression that alcohol was the defining factor of a successful social event, while another Strongbow ad portrayed drinking as more important than personal commitments.
