Fears are growing that some of the car maker's suppliers could go bust without support.
* Government exploring ways to financially support JLR's supply chain after cyber-attack
* Suppliers may go bust without government help, threatening 30,000 jobs and 100,000 more in the wider supply chain
* Options being considered include:
+ Government buying component parts from suppliers to keep them afloat
+ Providing government-backed loans to suppliers (although this is unpopular with suppliers)
+ Stockpiling car parts by the government (which would be logistically challenging)
* Industry experts warn that doing nothing could lead to bankruptcy for firms in the supply chain
* Business and Trade Select Committee to meet on Thursday to hear testimonies from JLR's supply chain businesses
* Investigation underway into cyber attack, which has cost JLR £50m a week in lost production
* 30,000 people directly employed at JLR plants, with a further 100,000 working in the firm's supply chain.
