Tottenham have "unequivocally rejected" an informal expression of interest from a consortium led by American tech entrepreneur Brooklyn Earick.
Tottenham's board has "unequivocally rejected" an informal expression of interest from American tech entrepreneur Brooklyn Earick's consortium, citing that the club is not for sale and Enic Sports & Developments Holdings Ltd (which owns almost 87% of Tottenham) is not looking to sell its stake. This is the third rejection since executive chairman Daniel Levy left the club earlier this month.
Earick has fueled speculation by posting a photo of the dressing room at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on social media, including a timer counting down to October 24, which is the deadline for making an offer or announcing intentions under UK takeover and merger rules.
Enic and Tottenham's board reconfirmed that the club is not for sale and the Lewis family, who own the majority of Enic, will do whatever it takes to drive success on the pitch.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank says he has received assurances from the Lewis family and chief executive Vinai Venkatesham about the future of the club, stating "The Lewis family has been very transparent, very good in the way they have communicated and it's very clear the club is not for sale."
