The brewer says the attack hit shipping and customer service operations, but its European business is not affected.
Japanese brewery Asahi has experienced a cyber-attack that has caused a "systems failure" affecting shipping and customer service operations in Japan.
The company states there has been no confirmed leakage of personal information, but its order and shipment operations have been suspended.
Asahi's European operations, including those in the UK, remain unaffected.
The company owns global beer brands such as Peroni and Pilsner Urquell, as well as UK-based Fuller's Brewery.
In a statement, Asahi apologized to customers and business partners, stating that it is working to restore operations but has no estimated timeline for recovery.
About half of the company's sales take place in Japan.
