Mon, 29 Sep 2025 YouTube to pay $24.5m to settle Trump lawsuit over Capitol riot

The streaming giant is the last company to settle with the president after suspending his account in the wake of the 6 January attack in 2021.

* YouTube will pay $24.5m (£18.6m) to settle a lawsuit with Donald Trump
* This includes: + $22m going to the Trust for the National Mall, a non-profit group aiming to build a new ballroom at the White House + $2.5m paid to other organisations and individuals who joined Trump's lawsuit
