One in six businesses surveyed were already making redundancies, a chamber of commerce says.
* It may take months before JLR's suppliers see the benefits of resumed production
* Government has underwritten a £1.5bn loan guarantee to support JLR's suppliers
* 30,000 employees from 84 businesses in the supply chain have been impacted by the cyber-attack
* Nearly half of these businesses have been financially affected
* Manufacturing will resume at JLR's UK facilities in phases, starting with the engine facility in Wolverhampton on October 6th
* Suppliers below tier one may struggle to get paid as a result of the loan guarantee only covering top-tier suppliers
* Business Secretary Peter Kyle said the loan guarantee is intended to support not just JLR but also its supply chain
* Chief executive of Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce Corin Crane said more needs to be done to help suppliers quickly
* Some companies, such as Evtec Automotive, have already laid off staff or reduced pay due to lack of payment from JLR
