The carmaker says some of its customers' data has been stolen in a cyber-attack that targeted a third-party provider.
Renault UK has confirmed that some customer data was stolen in a cyber-attack on a third-party provider. The accessed data includes:

* Addresses
* Dates of birth
* Gender
* Phone numbers
* Vehicle identification numbers
* Vehicle registration details No financial data, such as passwords or bank account details, was obtained. Affected individuals will be notified and warned to be cautious of unsolicited requests for personal information. The company is working with the third-party provider to contain the incident and ensure appropriate actions are taken. There is no indication that Renault's own systems were hacked, and the carmaker does not anticipate wider implications.
