Used children's Halloween costumes can be exchanged, free of charge, until 31 October.
Brierley Hill Library in Dudley is hosting a free Halloween costume swap until 31 October, allowing families to exchange used children's costumes and avoid buying new ones. The scheme was inspired by the library's previous successful World Book Day initiative, which also encouraged sustainability and community spirit.
According to Councillor Damian Corfield, "This is a fantastic initiative that supports families, promotes sustainability, and showcases community spirit." The library's manager, Rocco De Gregorio, added that the swap allows customers to bring in old costumes and choose new ones without financial burden.
The library is open at the following times:
* Mondays to Thursdays: 09:00-18:00 BST
* Wednesdays and Fridays: 09:00-17:00 BST
* Saturdays: 09:00-16:00 BST
