Staff will begin a phased return to the factory floor as the carmaker continues to recover from the cyber-attack.
* Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) will resume production at some of its manufacturing sites on Wednesday, after a cyber-attack brought output to a standstill in September.
* The phased return of staff will begin at sites in the West Midlands and Merseyside, with employees who work in facilities preparing pressed metal bodywork among those being brought back in.
* JLR has also announced a programme to fast-track payments to its direct suppliers, which had laid off workers due to revenue drying up after the hack.
* The company will provide accelerated payment to its Tier 1 suppliers, allowing them to get paid for new orders shortly after they are placed, rather than up to two months later.
* Wholesale sales fell by 24.2% in the three months to September, while retail sales dropped by 17.1%.
* Industry experts warn that it will take several weeks for production lines to return to normal.
* The government has offered a £1.5bn loan guarantee to JLR, but industry insiders say this does not address the needs of smaller suppliers who have been severely impacted by the cyber-attack.
* Many smaller suppliers are struggling financially and have had little or no income for the past month and a half, while bills have still had to be paid.
* Business Secretary Peter Kyle has welcomed the news that production will resume but acknowledged that many suppliers are still under pressure.
