Wed, 15 Oct 2025 Baroness Mone-linked PPE firm misses deadline to pay £122m

PPE Medpro was ordered to repay damages by 16:00 BST on Wednesday after breaching a Covid-19 contract.
PPE Medpro, a consortium linked to Baroness Michelle Mone's husband Doug Barrowman, has failed to meet a deadline to repay £122m in damages related to a breached Covid-19 PPE contract. The company owes a total of £145.6m, including interest that will accrue at 8% per year from Thursday. The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) won a legal case against PPE Medpro earlier this month, with a High Court judge ruling some of the company's gowns were not "sterile". PPE Medpro entered administration on September 30, just before the court judgement. The National Crime Agency (NCA) is investigating the case.
