Positive Community Action (PCA) also delivers food to families experiencing financial hardship.
A community group in Wiltshire, Positive Community Action (PCA), has surpassed a major milestone by serving 8,000 free meals to vulnerable people. The group was set up to tackle deprivation and social isolation in the Marlborough and Pewsey area. Volunteers from PCA have made a significant impact through their hard work, with coordinator Karen Knight saying it's "a really nice thing to do" that reminds us kindness should be shared. PCA's community meals programme relies on public donations and surplus food rescued from local shops to create nutritious dishes. Director Siobhan Boyle praised the collective effort: "Every penny and every donation goes straight back into feeding our most vulnerable neighbours." The group also delivers food to families in need, runs a friendship café, and has a food share initiative. Knight added that human interaction is just as important as the food, with meals often bringing people together and brightening their day.
