Fri, 24 Oct 2025 Staff at helicopter manufacturer set to strike

Leonardo offered a two-year rise of 3.2% in October but unite members are demanding an improved offer.

* 3,000 Unite members will go on strike across five Leonardo sites in November
* Staff are demanding a new pay offer after Leonardo offered a two-year rise of 3.2% which they deem "unfair"
* Strikes will take place at Yeovil, Luton and Basildon from 5-6 to 12-13 November
* Edinburgh and Newcastle strikes will be between 5-6 to 10-18 November
* Unite general secretary Sharon Graham says members are being "short-changed" by Leonardo
* A Leonardo spokesperson claims the company's offer is "fair and competitive", with a total package of up to 9.2% over two years
