*The council's Lily Project is providing advice on debt, benefits and energy efficiency measures, including the distribution of energy-efficient light bulbs and low-flow shower heads.
*Energy company increases in standing charges have been a particular concern for some residents, with Richard Carter saying that trying to save electricity "doesn't seem worth it" if standing charges are going up anyway.
*The council aims to reach hundreds of people through its roadshows and is encouraging those struggling financially to seek help before taking drastic measures.
