Retailers Wish and AliExpress are also being investigated in relation to the offence of enabling minors to access pornographic content.
Four online retailers - Shein, Temu, AliExpress and Wish - are being investigated in France for allegedly allowing minors to access pornographic content on their platforms. The investigation was launched after the country's consumer watchdog reported concerns about childlike sex dolls sold on Shein's platform. According to the Paris prosecutor, the four firms are being probed over violent, pornographic or "undignified messages" that can be accessed by minors. Shein has banned the sale of all sex dolls worldwide and pledged to tighten controls on its platform. AliExpress said it had removed listings violating its policies and warned sellers who circumvent its rules will face penalties. The investigation is being handled by Paris' Office des Mineurs, which oversees the protection of minors.
