The announcement by the equality watchdog comes after a BBC investigation into abuse at the restaurant chain.

* The training will focus on grooming young workers and social media use.
* An external body will review whether McDonald's is handling sexual harassment claims appropriately.
* The new measures apply to McDonald's restaurants in England, Scotland, and Wales.
* Franchises are expected to adopt some of the action points.
* Since 2023, more than 300 incidents of harassment have been reported to the EHRC.
* Law firm Leigh Day has been instructed to start legal action against McDonald's by hundreds of staff and former staff.
* The EHRC chairwoman said: "We're pleased with the significant steps McDonald's has agreed to take towards a safer working environment for its staff..."
* McDonald's CEO Alistair Macrow was summoned twice to Parliament to answer questions about sexual harassment allegations.
