One mother was forced to use a shopping trolley to take her child to a health appointment.
* Birmingham Playcare Network wants to give out hundreds of pushchairs to families who cannot afford one.
* They have already received £12,000 from four businesses and need more donations to reach their initial target of 500 pushchairs.
* The charity aims to collect and restore used pushchairs and redistribute them to those in need.
* The charity's business development manager Emma Martin said a mother was forced to use a shopping trolley to take her child to a health appointment, which is "just absolutely unacceptable".
* Many families helped by the charity have been affected by domestic violence or have children with special needs, making it difficult for them to work and access essential services.
* The charity also runs other schemes, including collecting and redistributing craft supplies, donating toys at Christmas, and helping mothers connect with each other.
* So far, they have distributed 1,500 cots and Moses baskets through their Safe Sleep Scheme.
