The price increase is expected to raise millions to fund the museum's renovation plans.
Non-EU tourists, including those from the US, UK and China, will have to pay €32 to enter the museum, up from €22.
The price hike is expected to raise between €15m-€20m annually to fund modernization plans, which include upgrading security systems and ageing infrastructure.
